This novel is an intense psychological action thriller, set on three continents. Tom Anderson, having only recently recovered from severe trauma, is struggling hard to return to a peaceful civilian life as a writer, which he shares with Linda, the love of his life. A former elite officer in the US Army, now a war veteran from Afghanistan, Anderson lives under a new identity in Europe as part of a federal witness protection programme. Suddenly one day his violent and traumatic past catches up with him as some of his former comrades in arms he once denounced to the US authorities locate him.

Anderson's attempts to take matters in his own hands, without alerting his FBI contacts, and keep Linda in total ignorance of his dramatic past, gradually transforms him from pursued to pursuer, from victim to killer. The Chameleon has indeed changed colour, again. Only his love for Linda and his innocent childish fiction world help him keep his sanity and rescue the last remnants of humanity still anchored deeply inside of him. His fate remains uncertain till his final encounter with the dark shadows of his past.
