New Project, New Genre

Novel On the Way

Back in February I posted a blog about my coming project and indicated that I would try something new. What I meant was trying to write a novel within a genre that was new to me, i.e. one which I have not worked with before. I also added that I would share some of the details with you while working on the new book. So here is what I had in mind.
First of all, I have now decided that my next genre will be Comedy and that the novel will be written as a social and political satire. I will not reveal the title and the specific content, at least not yet, but I can divulge my intention to write a longer piece or essay on Comedy which I will post within a month or two under the title page Inspiration here on this blog.
Comedy is a huge and popular genre - a real challenge for the author-
Comedy is a huge and popular genre - a real challenge for the author.
As you know, I have already written and posted two articles there - one on the thriller, the other on the historical fiction genre. So, the next Inspiration article on the Comedy genre can only complement the other two. Needless to say, this double objective, the novel and the article, will take up much of my time, but I sincerely hope to be able to write my other blog posts more or less regularly. Finally, let me just reserve my comments on the Comedy genre for the coming article and stop now by wishing you good luck with your reading or writing.
Until then,
Steen Alexander

Introduction to the London School of Economics

Welcoming Intro to LSE for Students

I here wish to share a couple of the more recent uploads from the London School of Economics aimed primarily at students and younger researchers. On the first video, Dr Romola Sanyal of the Geography Deparment at LSE talks about the BA Geography programme and generally presents the stimulating student and academic environment at the School - highly recommended.

On the second upload student representatives gives a students' perspective to the rich and diverse environment at the LSE. I find this video inspiring, full of the inspiring life in and around the LSE, which I can warmly recommend for coming students and young researchers.

Good luck to all future students,
Steen Alexander
